Bowmore Darkest 15 Year Old earns its name from the extraordinary depth of colour and richness imparted by its final maturation in Oloroso sherry casks — a finishing period that transforms the distillery's signature peated character into something deeply indulgent and complex. After 12 years in ex-bourbon casks, the spirit spends a further 3 years in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts, emerging with a mahogany hue and a flavour profile that is simultaneously bold and elegant: Islay peat smoke wrapped in dark fruit, chocolate, and sherry sweetness.
