Cascahúín Tequila Tahona Blanco is an artisanal expression from the family-owned Tequila Cascahúín distillery in the Tequila Valley of Jalisco — produced using the traditional tahona method, where a massive stone wheel crushes the roasted agave piñas to extract the juice. This labor-intensive process, far more demanding than modern roller mills, preserves more of the natural agave character and results in a distinct, complex flavor profile that is unmistakably different from conventionally produced blancos. The Rosales family has been producing tequila at Cascahúín for generations, and the Tahona expression represents their most traditional and expressive production method.

Stone-crushed, agave-forward, and deeply traditional — Cascahúín Tahona is the blanco for the purist who wants the full, uncompromised character of tahona production.

Tasting Notes

  • Nose: Intense cooked agave, earthy minerality, citrus, and the distinctive fibrous character of tahona crushing
  • Palate: Complex and agave-forward — roasted agave, earth, citrus, pepper, and the rich texture that only tahona production delivers
  • Finish: Long and expressive with lingering agave, earth, and mineral depth
