What followed was years of experimentation and the creation of something truly unprecedented: a single malt that incorporates a rare chocolate malt spirit, made just once a year in Glenmorangie's famously tall stills, and matured in a selection of the distillery's rarest and most treasured casks — ex-bourbon for creaminess, ex-sherry for sweetness, virgin charred oak for spice, and some of the oldest whisky in the distillery's reserves.
