The Pepper family brand is the oldest brand of whiskey made in Kentucky — established in 1780 during the American Revolution, and fondly called Old '1776' by its scion, Colonel James E. Pepper. The award-winning 1776 label was revived in 2012 in partnership with James Pepper Distilling Co. and has since gone on to much acclaim in the world of whiskey. A high-rye Kentucky straight bourbon that honors over 240 years of American whiskey heritage with every pour.
