The Kanosuke Distillery sits on the coast of Kagoshima Prefecture in southern Kyushu — a warm, subtropical landscape that produces a whisky character unlike anything from Hokkaido or Honshu. Founded in 2017 by the Komasa family, who have been distilling shochu in the region for over a century, Kanosuke brings that deep distilling heritage to single malt whisky production. The result is a tropical, fruit-forward single malt with a distinctly southern Japanese character that is turning heads worldwide.
