Chinaco Tequila Reposado is produced in Tamaulipas — one of the few tequilas made outside of Jalisco — and aged for 11 months in 35-year-old French and English White Oak Scotch barrels. The choice of aged Scotch barrels is extraordinary: barrels that have absorbed decades of Scotch whisky character impart a gentle, woody complexity that is unlike anything American oak can produce.
Golden light amber in color, Chinaco Reposado has a generous nose of citrus zest, peach, apple, dill, and quince. Clean, fresh flavors carry through on the palate with full depth and balance, capped by a medium-long, lingering, fruity, spicy finish. This tequila mixes beautifully but also stands proudly on its own.
