GlenDronach 15 Year Old Revival is a whisky of extraordinary richness and depth — a step up in every dimension from the celebrated 12 Year Old Original, and a testament to what 15 years of exclusive sherry cask maturation can achieve in the hands of one of Scotland's most committed and uncompromising distilleries. The name "Revival" carries real meaning: it was chosen to mark GlenDronach's return to full production in 2002 after a period of silence, and to celebrate the distillery's renewed commitment to the traditional, labor-intensive sherry cask maturation that has defined its character since 1826.

Like the 12 Year Old, the Revival is matured exclusively in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and oloroso sherry casks sourced from Jerez, Spain — no bourbon casks, no shortcuts. But the additional three years of maturation in these exceptional casks transforms the whisky into something of even greater complexity, richness, and depth. The sherry influence is profound and all-encompassing, yet the underlying Highland malt character of GlenDronach shines through with remarkable clarity.

The nose is magnificent and deeply inviting — dark chocolate, Medjool dates, and a rich oloroso sweetness open up to reveal waves of ripe plum, cinnamon, toasted oak, and a warm vanilla depth. On the palate, it's full-bodied, velvety, and sumptuously layered: Christmas pudding, dark cherry, espresso, toffee, and a warming spice build with a luxurious richness and a depth that unfolds slowly and magnificently. The finish is exceptionally long, warm, and deeply complex — dark fruit, chocolate, dried fig, and a gentle sherry sweetness fading in a slow, regal wave.
