Luxardo Maraschino Originale is the benchmark against which all other maraschino liqueurs are measured. Crafted by the Luxardo family in the Veneto region of Italy since 1821, it is made from Marasca cherries grown in Luxardo's own orchards — the entire fruit, including the pits, which are crushed to release their characteristic subtle almond note. After distillation, the spirit is aged for two years in Finnish ash wood vats, developing a crystal-clear appearance and a dry, sophisticated complexity that no imitation has ever matched.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Delicate and floral. Marasca cherry with a subtle almond note, a hint of marzipan, and a clean, slightly sweet character.
• Palate: Dry and refined. Cherry fruit leads with a gentle bitterness, almond from the crushed pits, and a floral herbal complexity. Less sweet than most liqueurs — which makes it exceptionally versatile.
• Finish: Clean and elegant. Almond and cherry fade gracefully with a dry, lingering close.
