Louis Roederer Champagne Brut Cristal 750ml
The World's Most Iconic Prestige Cuvée. Cristal. Louis Roederer.
Louis Roederer Cristal is the most iconic prestige cuvée in Champagne — created in 1876 at the personal request of Tsar Alexander II of Russia, who demanded a flat-bottomed, clear crystal bottle so he could see the wine inside. Today, Cristal remains the benchmark against which all prestige cuvées are measured: a vintage Champagne produced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs, made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and aged for a minimum of six years before release. Biodynamically farmed, non-dosage adjusted, and produced only in exceptional vintages — Cristal is Champagne at its most uncompromising.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Profoundly complex and elegant — white peach, citrus blossom, brioche, and toasted almond with a distinctive mineral precision from the Grand Cru chalk soils
- Palate: Extraordinarily refined and layered — stone fruit, cream, fine persistent bubbles, and a mineral backbone with the silky, precise texture that defines Cristal's legendary character
- Finish: Exceptionally long and elegant with lingering citrus, brioche, and a clean, mineral close that evolves in the glass
